Named for its location nestled under the Gaslamp, Belo was formerly the E Street Alley space that went through a 4 million dollar renovation. After twelve years of successful operation, Mr. Viscuso felt it was time to freshen up the look of San Diego’s first mega restaurant/nightclub. It was truly the rebirth of an incredible space, completely redesigned for a new audience and a new era of nightlife in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter. Belo featured a more casual American menu with a retro flair and offered a relaxed fun eatery experience as opposed to formal fine dining. San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter embraced this fresh new addition having multiple lines out the door, around the corner and down the street. Another great sign of a huge success.

The color-infused rooms at Belo each had their own attitude and ambience. The 60’s-inspired decor, was at once both retro and post-modern cool. Belo’s versatility, large dance floors, intimate corners, hip interiors and great staff provided the perfect atmosphere for a wide range of special events ranging from small private gatherings to large scale corporate productions including product launches, photography/video/television shoots, fashion shows, receptions, sit-down dinners, as well as over-the-top convention galas.  With his unique experience and understanding of the special event industry, Michael Viscuso’s spectacular redesign of Belo once again provided ideal space planning and exquisite interiors to the thrill of event planners and weekend revelers alike.
